Job summary

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking a Marine Test Sr Engineer II to apply specialized knowledge across equipment, software, systems and controls in a technical engineering setting.

You will lead testing and analysis of marine technology systems and collaborate with product planning to identify market opportunities. This role requires 5 years of engineering experience in marine environments, a Bachelor’s in engineering, and the ability to manage test schedules, coordinate with suppliers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical or Marine).
• 5 years engineering experience, preferably in marine industry.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% (may include overseas travel).
• Demonstrates strong written, verbal and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform research activities and produce thorough analysis and summary reports with limited supervision.
• Install, test, analyze, summarize, and report regarding marine technology systems (navigation, camera, propulsion, steering, ADAS).
• Lead test planning, scheduling, supplier coordination and presentation of results.
• Manage testing of large outboard engines including coordination with Japan teams and data collection.
