Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering is seeking a Senior Marine Structural Engineer to lead complex ports, marine, waterfront and coastal resiliency projects, influencing planning, analysis, design, rehabilitation and construction with long-term impact.

As a senior member of the MCR team, you will mentor engineers, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to business development while delivering constructible designs and meeting safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 10+ years of progressive marine structural/waterfront design experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in a US state.
• Experience with berthing and mooring analysis and waterfront design.

Responsibilities

• Senior marine structural technical resource on port, marine, waterfront and coastal resiliency projects.
• Lead design for bulkheads, docks, piers, wharves, seawalls and related structures.
• Prepare calculations, reports, plans and specs for concrete, steel, timber and foundations.
• Act as project engineer or deputy design manager on select projects; support multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior staff and engage with clients and regulators.
