Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers is expanding its Marine & Coastal Resiliency design team and seeks a Senior Marine Structural Engineer to lead advanced design and mentor engineers across projects.

You will collaborate with coastal, civil and geotechnical teams, support estimating and scheduling, and engage district stakeholders to deliver safe, constructible, high‑quality marine structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/Structural Engineering; Master’s degree asset.
• 10+ years of marine structural engineering experience (piers, docks, sea walls, wharfs, mooring dolphins).
• Berthing & mooring analysis and design of marine fenders experience.
• Familiar with marine terminals operations.
• PE license required; strong communication and organizational skills.
• English proficiency; Spanish or French an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design for marine infrastructure projects and provide mentorship.
• Perform and oversee analyses, develop drawings and specifications, ensure deliverable accuracy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support construction during site inspections.
• Assist with risk mitigation, project coordination, and MCR technical proposals.
• Contribute to MCR engineering team development and internal tools.
