Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Senior Marine Structural Engineer to lead complex ports, marine, waterfront, and coastal resiliency projects from planning through construction.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, perform berthing and mooring analyses, and provide design leadership across bulkheads, docks, piers, and related structures. This role offers growth opportunities and a path to Engineering of Record where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of progressive project-based experience in marine structural or waterfront design.
• Licensed PE in a US state; multi-state licensure a plus.
• Experience performing berthing and mooring analyses.
• Experience designing waterfront facilities and providing construction support.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural analysis and design for waterfront and marine infrastructure.
• Prepare calculations, reports, and construction documents for diverse materials.
• Act as project engineer or deputy design manager on select projects.
• Support risk identification and mitigation during pursuits and execution.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
