Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering’s Marine and Coastal Resiliency team seeks a Senior Marine Structural Engineer to lead complex port, marine, waterfront, and coastal resiliency projects. You will guide analysis, design, rehabilitation, and construction, mentoring junior staff and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

You will manage technical work, support business development, and drive safety, quality, and constructability across projects, including travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; master's preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years in marine structural or waterfront design, with project experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the US; NCEES record a plus.
• Experience performing berthing and mooring analyses for waterfront structures.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to lead and mentor teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural analysis and design for piers, docks, bulkheads, and other waterfront facilities.
• Perform berthing/mooring analyses and develop marine design solutions.
• Prepare calculations, reports, and specifications for concrete, steel, and timber elements.
• Act as Project Engineer or Deputy Design Manager on select projects.
• Support technical risk management and constructability reviews.
