Job summary
Brunswick Corporation invites a Principal Calibration Engineer to lead complete engine and vessel calibration for new and current products, delivering robust calibration across development phases. You will provide technical leadership in the marine space while advancing processes, tools, and skills within the team and broader engineering organization.
You will develop and execute test plans, apply DFSS methods for root-cause analysis, mentor newer engineers, and travel 8-10 weeks annually to
Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- 8 years of calibration experience on engines/vehicles.
- Experience with internal combustion engines and new engine development.
- MATLAB or Python for data analysis.
- Experience with engine/vehicle control software development.
- DAQ setup, programming, troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Lead complete engine calibration development for entire engine families.
- Develop software strategies for new Mercury products in engine powertrain control and vessel propulsion; include 1D simulation and co-simulation.
- Create and execute engine test/development plans with cross-functional coordination.
- Communicate findings and recommendations from data analysis.
