Job summary

Brunswick Corporation in Oshkosh, Wisconsin is seeking a Principal Calibration Engineer to lead engine and vessel calibration efforts, supporting both new and current products. You will provide technical leadership across product development and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust calibration solutions.

The role emphasizes developing processes, tools, and skills, applying DFSS for root cause analysis, and mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 8+ years of engine/vehicle calibration experience.
• Experience with MATLAB or Python for data analysis.
• Experience with engine/vehicle control software and DAQ.
• Knowledge of DFSS methods and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete engine calibration for entire engine families.
• Develop software strategies for engine powertrain control and vessel propulsion.
• Create test/development plans coordinating cross-functional resources.
• Communicate findings through analysis and technical presentations.
• Improve calibration processes to speed up product releases.
• Travel 8–10 weeks per year as required.
