Job summary

Planate Management Group is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector (CI) to perform detailed inspections and ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project requirements for Pier Mike at USCG Base. The role requires knowledge of multiple trades and ability to interpret plans and specifications.

The position is full-time, contingent on contract award, with a four-year duration and benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401K, PTO, and training opportunities. travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction as CI/Quality control/supervision or 5+ years with an Engineering degree plus certifications.
• Ability to read and interpret contract drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of multiple trades: structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections to verify compliance with contract documents, specs, codes, and quality requirements.
• Review drawings, plans, specs, and technical documents.
• Monitor workmanship and progress across trades; identify deficiencies and non-compliant work.
• Document findings and track deficiencies to corrective action.
• Prepare clear inspection reports with observations and project conditions.
• Capture digital photos with descriptions and organize records.
• Communicate findings clearly to contractors, PMs, and stakeholders.
• Maintain inspection records and use Word, PDF tools, and CM software.
