Job summary

Planate Management Group seeks an experienced Construction Inspector to perform detailed inspections and ensure quality workmanship for the Pier Mike recapitalization at USCG Base. You will review drawings, monitor progress across trades, and document findings with photos and reports.

The role requires extensive field experience, strong knowledge of codes, and the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience as Construction Inspector, Contractor Superintendent, or QA/QC Manager.
• Ability to read and interpret contract drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of multiple trades and building codes.
• Proficient with MS Word, PDFs, and reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections to verify contract compliance and quality.
• Review drawings, plans, and specs for construction projects.
• Monitor contractor workmanship and progress across trades.
• Identify deficiencies and track corrective actions to resolution.
• Document inspection findings and prepare clear reports.
• Capture progress photos with descriptions and organize records.
• Communicate findings to contractors and project managers clearly.
• Maintain inspection records and project documentation throughout construction.
• Utilize MS Word, PDF tools and construction management software for reporting.
