Job summary

Planate Management Group is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to perform detailed inspections for the Pier Mike marine capital project at USCG Base. You will verify workmanship, review drawings, and ensure compliance with contract documents and codes.

The role requires a deep knowledge of trades (structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural, civil) and the ability to document findings clearly with reports and photos. Contingent upon contract award; four-year duration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction experience as CI/Quality role or 5+ years with an Engineering degree and PE/PMP/QA-QC certs updated within last 10 years.
• Ability to read contract drawings and specifications and understand local/national codes.
• Knowledge of multiple trades: structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, architectural, civil.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections to verify contract compliance and quality requirements.
• Review and interpret drawings, plans, specs, and technical documents.
• Monitor workmanship and progress across multiple trades.
• Document deficiencies and track corrective actions to completion.
• Prepare clear reports with findings and supporting photos.
