Job summary

Anduril Industries in Ashville, OH is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer to ensure stringent testing of our Altius family systems and meet throughput requirements. You will drive automation, data analytics, and test improvements while solving complex testing problems and collaborating with design and manufacturing teams.

The role qualifies for hands-on system troubleshooting, test system evolution, and calibration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
8+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment.
Familiarity with Linux, Ubuntu, Python, and NixOS.
Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscope, function generators, spectrum analyzers, data acquisition and measurement sensors.
Strong root cause analysis skills of non-conforming hardware.
Experience with hands on system troubleshooting.
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills.
Familiar with Product Life Cycle (PLM) systems, MES, and TES.
Experience with computer hardware communication protocols: USB, Ethernet, RS232, RS485, PCIe, HDMI, CAN, etc.
Experience working on projects that involve the integration of electrical, mechanical, and software/firmware systems.
Experience with MES system integration.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

Maintain ownership of test activities in production and ensure production test flow; provide hands-on troubleshooting for electrical issues.
Maintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream from system checkouts to component level validation.
Improve and sustain test systems to boost automation, consistency, cycle time, and test coverage (DfM).
Develop and maintain test work instructions for MES; train technicians on equipment use.
Develop library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guides/diagrams.
Determine root cause of product failures and recommend corrective actions (RCCA).
Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering on returns and failure analysis.
Analyze test data, document results, and report defects and improvement areas.
Provide feedback to design engineers for product enhancements based on test outcomes.
Optimize test strategies for efficiency without compromising quality.
Maintain and calibrate test equipment for precision and reliability.
Support continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
Execute testing as required.
