Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Test Engineer to define and drive the test strategy across a product line scaling from prototype builds toward high-volume manufacturing. This is a senior technical leadership role where you own the test architecture from concept through volume and set the standards that guide the broader test and manufacturing engineering team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
• 10+ years in manufacturing test engineering for electromechanical products (prototype to high-volume).
• Experience owning test strategy for NPI through volume production.
• Hands-on in-line and end-of-line functional test systems development.
• Proficient in test software/frameworks (LabVIEW, NI TestStand, Python) and DAQ.
• Experience architecting test data pipelines and dashboards for analytics.
• Ability to define test strategy and decision criteria for cross-functional teams.
• Influence at senior levels across engineering, validation, quality, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end manufacturing test strategy across prototypes to volume production.
• Drive DFT considerations and co-design with product architecture.
• Create clarity from ambiguity with test frameworks and readiness criteria.
• Partner with engineering, validation, and quality to align V&V with production.
• Architect test data schemas and dashboards for real-time visibility.
• Scale test systems from single-station to multi-station, instrumented cells.
• Mentor and grow the test engineering team and culture.
