Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years direct manufacturing engineering experience in high-volume assembly and NPI.
• Experience owning manufacturing strategy for a new product from concept to volume production.
• Experience commissioning, starting up, and ramping integrated assembly operations.
• Strong knowledge of assembly methods including mechanical joining, fastening, adhesive bonding, press-fits, and robotic assembly.
• Ability to create clarity from ambiguity and define strategy for cross-functional teams.
• Ability to influence at a senior level across engineering, product design, and program leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the manufacturing voice in daily design trades— influence product architecture and material choice.
• Define end-to-end manufacturing strategy across build iterations from prototype to volume production.
• Establish frameworks and decision criteria to guide the engineering team and define readiness.
• Develop and prove out assembly methods with rapid iteration and reconfigurability.
• Define build instrumentation and data capture strategies to maximize learning per build.
• Drive line concept, design, requirements, material flow, and vendor selection.
• Design quick-turn fixtures and tooling; smart build-vs-buy decisions for tooling.
• Engage with equipment OEMs, tooling suppliers, and production partners.
• Identify opportunities to reduce non-value-add operations and improve learnings.
• Develop and standardize assembly processes, control plans, and maintenance strategies.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence, safety, and discipline.
