Job summary

Amazon is seeking a highly experienced Principal Manufacturing Engineer to lead the concept, design, build, and launch of production-scale final assembly operations. This senior individual contributor will serve as the technical authority for commissioning facilities, deploying world-class assembly technologies, and establishing scalable, efficient production systems.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of direct manufacturing engineering experience in production-scale final assembly environments for complex electromechanical products.
• Demonstrated success leading commissioning, startup, and production ramp-up of integrated assembly operations.
• Strong Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (Green Belt minimum; Black Belt preferred).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end manufacturing line concept, design, requirements, sizing, layout, and equipment specification.
• Drive line readiness, safety, quality, throughput, OEE, scrap reduction, and cycle-time optimization.
• Lead cross-functional engagement with product design, OEMs, and automation suppliers to meet cost and production targets.
