Job summary

Haworth, Inc. in Holland, MI, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Technician to join the WKD shift. This hands-on role supports production by troubleshooting equipment and implementing process improvements to boost efficiency.

The position involves mentoring technicians, programming PLCs/HMI, and supporting edge banding machines, BIMAS, and Autoline systems. You will work with engineering and maintenance on upgrades and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or equivalent; Relevant certification or vocational training may be preferred
• Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree in relevant field of study may be preferred or required
• Work Experience: 3+ years of experience operating manufacturing equipment and/or providing technical support in manufacturing
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. and work in an environment with moderate exposure to dust, noise, heat, solvents, paint, and lubricants.
• Applicants must be able to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
• Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position.

Responsibilities

• Programs, modifies, and optimizes PLCs, HMIs, and other automated control systems
• Enforces safety protocols and conducts safety audits to promote a culture of safety
• Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs complex manufacturing equipment
• Implements and maintains technical documentation including electrical schematics and SOPs
• Provides technical guidance and training to less experienced technicians
• Collaborates with engineering, maintenance, and production teams on process improvements
• Identifies and implements continuous improvement initiatives
• Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
