Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Whitehall, MI is seeking an Electrical Controls Technician to join the Weekend Crew on-site. Training will occur on a weekday schedule before transitioning to three 12-hour weekend shifts.

The role supports the Plant Engineering team with controls expertise and equipment optimization. The ideal candidate has an associate degree in a relevant electrical field or 10+ years of hands-on PLC control experience, plus strong PLC/HMI capabilities and AutoCAD/RSLogix5000

Qualifications

Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or Mechatronics.
3+ years in equipment build/maintenance or manufacturing environment.
Alternatively, 10+ years in equipment build/maintenance and PLC control systems.
Legal work authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise in controls systems, equipment reliability and capital projects.
Perform advanced troubleshooting, PLC/HMI system support, and equipment optimization.
Collaborate with Plant Engineering, Skilled Trades and external contractors.
Support weekend crew with training transition and a three 12-hour shift schedule.
