Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a weekend Electrical Controls Technician in Whitehall, MI to support the Plant Engineering team with controls systems expertise and equipment reliability. The position starts with a weekday training period, then transitions to a three 12-hour shift weekend crew.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or Mechatronics from an accredited institution and a minimum of 3 years in equipment build/maintenance or manufacturing environment
• OR a minimum of 10 years of experience in equipment build/maintenance and PLC control systems
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in controls systems, equipment reliability, and capital improvement initiatives.
• Support PLC/HMI systems and participate in troubleshooting and optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with Plant Engineering, Skilled Trades, and external contractors to support manufacturing operations.
