Job summary

Haworth in Holland, MI is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to design and optimize manufacturing processes using CAD tools for 2D/3D drawings. You will analyze process flow, develop ECOs, BOMs, and work with suppliers to ensure product quality.

The role requires 3 years of experience with CAD/nesting software and the ability to travel up to 10% within Michigan. Weekend shift in our wood plant is Fri-Sun 6:00am-6:30pm.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or equivalent; relevant certification may be preferred.
• Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree may be preferred or required.
• Work Experience: 3 years experience supporting engineering or manufacturing processes through CAD, nesting, routing, or related software tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing products, including process flow analysis, tooling selection, and labor standard development.
• Conduct process qualifications, experiments, and data analysis to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product quality.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including ECOs, BOMs, and process specifications.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve product quality, resolve manufacturing problems, and conduct initial production approvals.
• Utilize advanced metrology equipment and inspection techniques to ensure product quality and conformance to specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and training to production personnel on manufacturing processes and quality standards.
