Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Senior Manufacturing Technology & Vendor Management DFX Engineer to own end-to-end manufacturing tech evaluation and supplier integration for the TeraWave program. You will bridge emerging technologies with volume production readiness, optimizing DFM, DFT, DFA, DFR and DFS across supplier networks to scale hardware for orbital deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in manufacturing tech, process engineering, or supplier/vendor management in product development and high-volume production.
• Experience evaluating, qualifying, and adopting manufacturing technologies and managing external supplier capabilities for complex hardware.
• Hands-on supplier qualification, process transfer, technology assessment, and production line integration.
• DFX principles (DFM/DFT/DFA/DFR) applied to move technologies into volume production.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation and adoption of manufacturing technologies for satellite modules and subsystems, including tooling and new equipment capabilities.
• Own vendor and supplier management for manufacturing, including capability assessment, qualification, and integration workflows.
• Manage supplier BOM, capacity coordination, technology roadmap alignment, vendor performance, and production line integration.
• Drive supplier first-article inspection, process validation, technology qualification, and manufacturing readiness reviews for ramp.
