Altria is seeking a Senior Manager, Solutions Architecture for Manufacturing & Plant Operations in Richmond, VA with a hybrid schedule. You will lead architecture for production, control, storage, and OT/IT integration, delivering decision-ready builds for delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years IT experience with 5+ years as solution/technical architect.
• Hands-on architecture experience with MES platforms like TrakSYS or Wonderware.
• Knowledge of OT integration using OPC, Kepware, and industrial historians.
• Experience integrating plant systems with SAP for production and inventory.
• Understanding of IIoT, OT/IT convergence, and plant-floor security.
• Microsoft Azure experience: landing zones, PaaS, identity, API-led integration.
• Familiarity with TOGAF and federated EA models.

Responsibilities

• Architect manufacturing execution system capabilities across TrakSYS, Wonderware, and custom platforms.
• Design control-system integrations using OPC technologies, Kepware, Wonderware DAS, RSLinx, and historians.
• Define production quality, compliance, traceability, genealogy, scheduling, sequencing, and OEE capabilities.
• Develop IIoT integration patterns connecting plant equipment, manufacturing platforms, and enterprise systems.
• Direct integrations between plant-floor systems, warehouse management platforms, and SAP related to production confirmations and inventory management.
• Own high-level designs and cross-platform integration patterns throughout the architecture lifecycle.
• Lead vendor evaluations, proofs of concept, and solution assessments for alignment with enterprise standards.
• Prepare Architecture Review Board submissions, resolve findings, and support transition from design to run.
