Job summary

Altria is seeking a Senior Manager of Solutions Architecture for Supply Chain Planning in Richmond, VA, with a hybrid work schedule. The role leads architecture across demand planning, logistics, and distribution, and drives platform selection, SAP integrations, and cross-functional alignment.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in IT, 5+ years as an architect, and deep experience with Azure, SAP, and supply chain planning platforms, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years IT experience, 5+ years as solution/technical architect.
• Hands-on experience architecting supply chain planning platforms and leading enterprise platform selection.
• Strong knowledge of transportation management systems, logistics integration, and SAP integration.
• Experience with sales and operations planning, demand sensing, forecasting, and inventory optimization.
• Hands-on Microsoft Azure experience including landing zones and cloud blueprinting.
• Experience designing API-led integrations using Azure API Management or iPaaS.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and federated EA models.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture for supply chain planning platforms and enterprise platform selection.
• Design transportation, logistics, fulfillment, inventory, and returns capabilities.
• Architect integrations between platforms, SAP, inventory systems, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.
• Develop integrated sales and operations planning and supply chain optimization capabilities.
• Own high-level designs and cross-platform integration patterns across architecture lifecycle.
• Direct vendor evaluations, proofs of concept, and solution assessments.
• Define non-functional requirements for performance, security, and scalability.
• Prepare Architecture Review Board submissions and support transition from design to run.
