Job summary

Hypertherm Associates in Kent, WA, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead a team of four Manufacturing Process Engineers and drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations. This role blends people leadership, industrial engineering expertise, and process innovation to improve safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance.

• Experience applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive CI in manufacturing.
• Experience partnering with Quality teams on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Manufacturing Process Engineers.
• Drive safety initiatives and ensure safety procedures are integrated into manufacturing processes.
• Support production teams in resolving technical challenges and improving performance.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Design and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and workstations.
• Lead pFMEA activities and apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes.
• Provide DFMA feedback during new product development and introduction.
• Evaluate, justify, and implement new manufacturing equipment and technologies.
• Develop equipment and process technology roadmaps.
• Lead cross-functional projects, establish project plans, budgets, and schedules, and communicate progress to leadership.
• Establish engineering standards, mentor engineers and technicians, and foster technical growth within the team.
