Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a manufacturing engineer to support Detroit Axle carrier assembly operations, focusing on daily production targets, quality, and equipment performance. You will lead shop-floor troubleshooting and data-driven problem solving, collaborating with maintenance, quality, and manufacturing engineering to reduce downtime and improve SQDCM metrics.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
5-7 years of relevant experience.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and shop-floor troubleshooting.
Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, BOM and quality management systems.
Experience with structured problem solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Provide manufacturing engineering expertise for Detroit Axle NFD and advanced carrier assembly operations.
Lead structured problem solving and Continuous Improvement to meet SQDCM objectives.
Troubleshoot complex equipment and process issues on the shop floor and implement corrective actions.
Own downtime, quality, scrap, cycle-time, and equipment performance issues with data-driven methods.
Develop and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, and standardized work.
