Job summary

Lockheed Martin seeks a seasoned leader to run the Outer Wing department for the C-130J program, driving cost, schedule, and technical integration to deliver a high‑quality aircraft on time and within budget. This on‑site role requires coordinating with manufacturing supervisors, leads, and the workforce while promoting continuous improvement.

You will manage multiple manufacturing functions, recruit and develop staff, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading people in a fabrication/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to plan daily activities, sequence and assign work to hit goals.
• Accountable for quality, cost, and schedule for area of responsibility.
• Lean manufacturing concepts and cost reduction knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own the department’s cost, schedule and technical performance.
• Maintain and analyze projected production schedules; update status daily/weekly.
• Develop and execute “return-to-green” plans when schedule or cost variances arise.
• Conduct technical analyses of product changes and implement solutions per procedures.
• Create, track, and report new performance metrics; review results with leadership.
• Coach, mentor, and train supervisors, leads, and crew to meet build-plan targets.
• Ensure compliance with engineering specs, quality standards, and safety.
