Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking an Area Manager to oversee assigned manufacturing areas, enforce approved processes, and ensure safe, compliant production. You will lead multiple shifts, drive quality and productivity, and manage staffing, budgeting and capital requests as needed.

The role requires 5–7 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, strong communication, and the ability to deliver results through others in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or engineering or 5–7 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and adapt to changing situations.
• Highly organized, self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.
• Leads people and delivers results with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Computer literate in spreadsheet, financial, inventory and production planning applications.
• Develops, executes and delivers results per action plans.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safe manufacture of products and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ensures compliance with safety policies and legal requirements.
• Provides coaching and development; resolves employee issues; conducts appraisals.
• Plans, organizes and supervises operations to meet production schedules cost-effectively.
• Manages staffing, budgeting, and capital equipment requests as needed.
