Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager to oversee operations engineering at a manufacturing site, ensuring products are produced to Abbott quality standards and meet market demands.

You will lead multiple lines and shifts, drive performance, and continuous improvement, while guiding cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and other teams. The role includes budgeting, mentoring a diverse engineering team, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related discipline required.
• Minimum 8 years of engineering, project management, and/or operational experience.
• Experience managing operations engineering at a manufacturer site, preferably regulated.
• Proven track record leading large-scale automated manufacturing lines.
• Experience in team management, including hiring and development.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, GMP compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages operations engineering across multiple product lines and shifts.
• Ensures performance, output, and continuous improvement of automated lines.
• Leads end-to-end project management to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Sets priorities among projects and mitigates risks.
• Drives department budget planning and multi-year financial planning.
• Mentors and develops a diverse engineering team.
• Collaborates with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and other departments to meet objectives.
