Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a seasoned Engineering & Maintenance Leader to provide technical and operational leadership for the site’s engineering and maintenance teams. You will focus on reliable day-to-day manufacturing support, troubleshoot issues, execute preventive maintenance, and drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, productivity and cost goals.

You will partner with Manufacturing, Quality, EHS and other functions to sustain compliant, safe operations, develop a capable engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, science, or closely related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years in engineering with leadership and project management experience.
• Strong leadership and business acumen to drive high performance.
• Excellence across multiple engineering disciplines and collaboration with internal/external teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day engineering and maintenance support; set priorities for production needs.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and root-cause analysis; implement corrective actions.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance; manage work planning and documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and reliability.
• Ensure GMP, EHS, and regulatory compliance in all maintenance activities.
• Assess risks and implement controls and contingency plans.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain and others to align priorities.
• Manage team performance, hiring, coaching, and development.
• Oversee budgets and contractor management; ensure safe, on-time delivery.
