Abbott in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager to oversee operations engineering at a manufacturing site, ensuring products meet Abbott quality standards and market demands.

You will lead multi-line automated processes, drive cost efficiencies, manage budgets, and mentor a diverse engineering team while collaborating with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain to deliver compliant manufacturing solutions.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in significant engineering, project management, and/or operational experience.
• Extensive experience managing operations engineering activities at a manufacturer site, preferably in a highly regulated industry.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale, automated manufacturing lines with a focus on performance and continuous improvement.
• Experience in team management, including hiring, development, and succession planning for a diverse engineering workforce.
• Lead various large, complex project activity components (scope, schedule, budgets, risk register, etc.).
• Deep understanding of automated manufacturing processes, especially within the context of manufacturing site.

Responsabilidades

• Oversees and manages all operations engineering activities across multiple product lines and shifts at a manufacturer site(s).
• Ensures the performance, output, and continuous improvement of a significant number of fully and/or partly automated lines/processes.
• Leads end-to-end project management to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget.
• Drives department financial budget planning and multi-year planning.
• Hires, retains, and develops a diverse, highly qualified engineering team; provide ongoing performance feedback, coaching, and mentoring.
• Leads cross-functional relationships with R&D, Quality, Clinical, Regulatory, and other departments to meet quality, cost, and supply chain objectives.
