Job summary

AbbVie Inc. seeks a seasoned Engineering & Maintenance leader to guide site engineering and maintenance teams in day-to-day manufacturing support.

You will drive preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and lead continuous improvement projects with cross-functional partners in Quality, EHS, and Supply Chain. The role emphasizes safety, GMP compliance, budget oversight, and developing a capable engineering team through coaching, performance management, and staff development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, science, or related discipline required or equivalent technical experience.
• 8+ years’ experience including hands-on engineering, project management, and progressive leadership responsibilities.
• Business acumen with leadership experience to drive high performance.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration across engineering, quality, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day engineering and maintenance support for manufacturing operations.
• Set priorities and coordinate team activities to support production and minimize downtime.
• Direct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment/process failures.
• Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, and documentation; ensure parts availability.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to improve safety, quality, productivity and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, and regulatory requirements; manage changes.
