Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow/Green certification or equivalent.
• 5+ years in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operational Excellence or Logistics.
• Experience implementing TPM, Lean Manufacturing, or TMS.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze workflows to reduce waste, improve throughput, and lower costs.
• Lead cross-functional CI projects with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Engineering.
• Own BOS pillars, ensuring deployment and adherence using OGSM, DDS, Kaizen, Gemba walks and 5S.
• Facilitate Kaizen events, workshops and training in Lean and BOS principles.
• Use structured problem solving (5 Whys, fishbone, DMAIC) to identify root causes.

Job description

The Senior Manufacturing Excellence Engineer is a key driver of operational transformation and continuous improvement across Bacardi Supply operations. This role is responsible for deploying and sustaining Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM), Tier Management System (TMS), performance management systems, and continuous improvement methodologies to eliminate losses and improve business results. The role partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning and Site Leadership to improve Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, Productivity, Reliability and Employee Engagement. Depending on business needs, the role may support: Bottling Operations Bulk Manufacturing and Processing Distillation Aging & Warehousing Distribution & Logistics Operations The role is intentionally designed with broad operational scope to enable talent mobility, capability development and cross-functional career progression throughout the Supply organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process Optimization: Analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions to reduce waste, improve throughput, and lower costs using data-driven approaches and Lean Six Sigma tools.
• Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional CI projects in partnership with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Engineering.
• Bacardi Operating System (BOS) Implementation: Own BOS pillars for the site, ensuring effective deployment and adherence over time through initiatives such as OGSM, DDS, Kaizen events, Gemba walks, 5S, etc. Participates and owns metrics at the corresponding tier level such as Improvement Ideas, Center Lines, Change Overs, Kaizens, etc.
• Training & Coaching: Facilitate Kaizen events, workshops, and training sessions to educate and mentor staff and primos in Lean, Six Sigma, and BOS principles.
• Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis: Facilitate problem-solving activities for process issues and use structured methods (e.g., 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams) to identify root causes of defects or inefficiencies.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish and track KPIs, analyze data to measure impact, and adjust strategies as needed.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain updated applicable SOPs, process maps, and improvement records. Prepare and present progress reports to management and stakeholders.
• System Establishment & Performance Assurance: Develop and implement robust systems and standardized processes to support continuous improvement initiatives across the site. Conduct regular audits and assessments to verify that systems are operating effectively and consistently meet established standards. Utilize feedback loops and performance data to drive ongoing refinement, ensuring sustained compliance and optimal results.
• Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensure all improvements align with Bacardi’s safety standards and quality regulations.
• Strategic Alignment: Work with managers and leadership to align CI initiatives with Bacardi’s strategic goals.
• SME on efficiency and productivity Computer Monitoring Systems.

SKILLS

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (required)
• Certifications:
  • Lean Six Sigma (Yellow/Green) or equivalent.
  • Advanced level of English.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement or Logistics environments.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing TPM, Lean Manufacturing, TMS or equivalent operational excellence systems.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional improvement initiatives and delivering measurable business results.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, process mapping, performance management and project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of ERP, MES, Power BI and other digital manufacturing systems.
  • Expertise in structured problem-solving methodologies including Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, Fishbone, A3, PDCA and DMAIC.
  • Strong understanding of KPIs such as OEE, productivity, labor efficiency, reliability, service and cost metrics.
  • Ability to leverage data and performance trends to drive decision-making and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Experience applying statistical and operational performance analysis to improve business results.
