Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in South Bend, Indiana, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a team of about 12 Manufacturing Engineers. You will drive daily manufacturing activities, improve processes, and champion operational excellence across the site.

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Manufacturing Engineering, you will partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and Product Engineering to deliver safe, high-quality production while guiding Lean Six Sigma initiatives and

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of manufacturing engineering, operations engineering, industrial engineering, or related manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading manufacturing process improvements within a production environment.
• Experience leading, supervising, or developing engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, process development, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to solve complex manufacturing and operational challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a High-Performing Engineering Team: provide leadership, coaching, and development for a team of Manufacturing Engineers; establish priorities and drive execution.
• Support Manufacturing Operations: provide engineering leadership for day-to-day production activities and rapid resolution of issues.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: lead Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Manufacturing Process Ownership: develop and sustain manufacturing methods, process flows, tooling, and production standards; drive process optimization and best practices.
• Technical Documentation & Training: oversee development and maintenance of work instructions, process docs, and SOPs; train production personnel.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: collaborate with Quality, Operations, Product Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Program Management; lead problem-solving and readiness reviews.
• Safety, Quality & Compliance: promote safety culture and ensure compliance with aerospace manufacturing standards.
