Veeco Instruments Inc. is seeking a senior manufacturing engineer to drive readiness and scale-up of a next-generation semiconductor platform, transitioning from development to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with electromechanical products in manufacturing, sustaining, NPI, or production scale-up.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with PFMEA, process validation, risk assessment, control plans, and quality systems.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive transition of next-generation semiconductor platform from development to sustained production.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, assembly methods, test strategies, and production documentation.
• Support modular build/test strategies to improve quality, scalability, and efficiency.
• Identify and mitigate manufacturing risks associated with product commercialization and ramp activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve yield, throughput, quality, and manufacturability.
