Veeco Instruments Inc. is seeking a hands-on Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations to lead the Veeco Flow Technologies team and drive continuous improvement on the production line.

Responsibilities include implementing 8D problem solving, managing schedules and budgets, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery in a fast-paced, regulated environment. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, manufacturing operations, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing with a track record of driving operational excellence.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP preferred.
• Background in electromechanical manufacturing and lean manufacturing/5S.
• Experience in highly regulated industries (semiconductor, aerospace, defense, automotive) or similar.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to Safety and 5S standards and foster a culture of safety with zero OSHA recordables.
• Maintain OBQ/IBQ quality targets for Veeco Flow Technologies products in alignment with corporate goals.
• Collaborate with Quality to drive corrective actions from quality escapes.
• Ensure compliance to certifications, audits, and regulatory requirements through training and documentation.
• Lead VFT production staffing, budgeting, and cross-training to sustain a high‑performance culture.
• Develop schedules, resources, and manpower for VFT; coordinate with Planning for capacity.
• Manage flow of components and assemblies to meet production demands.
• Support annual budgets and inventory targets; monitor expenses.
• Track KPIs, lessons learned, and corrective actions monthly.
• Provide guidance for cross-functional new product development and tool/equipment needs.
• Make budgetary recommendations to provide tools and training.
