You will develop plant layouts, coordinate cross-functional teams, and oversee VME feasibility and management presentations. Up to 90% travel to US, Canada, and Mexico plants is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing engineering leadership throughout a new model development program from Ok to Buy +45 days.
• Lead tooling design/build/installation scopes of work and oversee assembly tooling installation, start-up and commissioning at the assembly site.
• Write/modify/maintain process sheets post Final Design Judgement and support tooling buy-off at vendor facility.
• Drive quality, cost, and labor improvements; develop plant layouts and cycle line layouts.
• Lead/Manage key areas of VME for upfront feasibility between TMR and PSC phases of GPDS; prepare and present management updates.
• Coordinate Program Cost Study responses and align cross-functional teams for launch risk mitigation; document lessons learned to update Mfg. standards.
• Extended travel to assembly plants in US, Canada, and/or Mexico required. Domestic and International Travel up to 90%.
