Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support the F-150 program. You will define and implement manufacturing processes, tools, and cycle-time improvements across stations, collaborating with manufacturing engineering, quality, and program management to meet tight schedules.

You will create process sheets, PFMEAs, SCCAF sign-offs, and cost analyses, while ensuring safety, quality, and ergonomic tooling. Hybrid onsite four days/week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; 1+ years in manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of GMS, VOSS, NFPA70E, NFPA79, ANSI, SAE HS-1738, UL 508A.
• Experience implementing error-proofing.
• Strong problem solving using statistics; 6 Sigma preferred.
• Ability to lead 8D problem solving.
• MS Office proficiency; strong communication and teamwork.
• Project management skills; ability to work with all levels.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and update program-specific process sheets.
• Perform DPA5 checks and address issues with the program team.
• Support virtual build sequencing and virtual builds.
• Develop PFMEAs to support conformance letters.
• Lead pre-FDJ shop buy-offs and preproduction prototype builds.
• Document and resolve build issues.
• Define tooling and equipment needs (DC/Pneumatic, fixtured tooling).
