Job summary

Hamilton Associates, Inc. seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to design and implement efficient, safe manufacturing processes for ELSCO products. This role partners with Product Design and Production, applying Lean principles to reduce waste and optimize operations.

The candidate will develop processes, create drawings and documentation, and support equipment qualification and maintenance. A strong background in GD&T, 3D CAD/CAM, and capital equipment is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of related manufacturing experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD and CAM tools.
• Understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack‑ups.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Excellent problem‑solving and project management skills.
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills to interact and influence across the organization.
• Experience with capital equipment specifications and acquisition.
• Experience or exposure to Lean production tools and concepts.
• Design and fabrication of jigs and fixtures.
• Experience with CNC manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Continuously improves manufacturing processes for efficiency and productivity.
• Develops manufacturing processes and time requirements for new or improved products.
• Creates and approves assembly drawings and production instructions.
• Develops assembly and test documentation for manufacturing processes.
• Works with management to optimize workstations and facility layout.
• Facilitates employee training for new or revised processes.
• Ensures processes meet quality control requirements.
• Processes engineering changes for assemblies and parts.
• Performs safety reviews of changes and introductions into operations.
• Writes rework and reprocessing instructions as required.
• Collaborates with Design Engineers on manufacturability, assembly, and service.
• Supports qualification, calibration, and maintenance of production equipment.
• Plans and coordinates maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Participates in selection of major machine/tool investments.
