Job summary

TEL Staffing & HR seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to independently analyze and optimize production methods in a Savannah, GA facility. Responsibilities include studying operations, proposing equipment and process improvements, and writing detailed work instructions to drive efficiency and defect reduction.

The role requires a mechanical/manufacturing engineering background with Lean Six Sigma knowledge and experience with CAD/CAM tools and SAP/Solumina/Corridor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field with 18+ months of relevant experience.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge; certification preferred.
• Experience with engineering documentation and shop math.
• Ability to read blueprints and use CAD/CAM tooling.
• Knowledge of SAP, Solumina, and manufacturing data systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical studies and analyze current and proposed operations.
• Prepare equipment and process recommendations with detailed methodologies.
• Author work instructions to improve efficiency and reduce defects.
• Lead Lean/Six Sigma projects across multiple functions.
• Evaluate vendors, participate in negotiations, and support corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes.
