Job summary

OPW in Ball Ground, GA is seeking an Industrial & Manufacturing Engineer to drive operational excellence through process optimization, facility and workflow design, and the implementation of new manufacturing technologies.

You will lead time studies, capacity analysis, line balancing, and capital equipment projects using SolidWorks and related tools, collaborating with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering to introduce new products and improvements while focusing on safety, quality,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
5+ years in an Engineering to order (ETO) manufacturing environment.
Proven track record in continuous improvement and capital equipment implementations.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and IE methodologies.

Responsibilities

Conduct time studies, work sampling, labor analysis, and line balancing to improve throughput and labor efficiency.
Develop standard work instructions, routings, and process documentation.
Analyze plant performance metrics (cycle times, OEE, scrap) for improvement.
Lead Lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen, VSM, standard work) and capacity modeling.
Lead equipment projects from specification to production launch and ROI analysis.
Collaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering on new product introductions.
