Job summary

Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer 5 in Pontiac, IL. The role is 100% onsite on second shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM) for a 12-month position that could lead to permanent employment. Compensation is up to $61/hr with full benefits.

The engineer will support fuel injector assembly and test operations, focus on production, quality, cost, safety, and process improvement, and work cross-functionally in a factory setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing/assembly engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience creating and facilitating APQP documentation (Process Flow, Control Plan, PFMEA).
• Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing/assembly processes and analyze production quality issues.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot assembly equipment and address first-test-pass failures.
• Develop and implement process improvements for manufacturing operations.
• Create and maintain APQP elements: Process Flow, Control Plans, PFMEA.
• Analyze production data, workflows, and quality results to identify deviations.
• Recommend changes to methods, layouts, and production standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with quality, manufacturing engineering, operations, and test teams.
• Lead technical discussions and support multiple manufacturing projects.
