Job summary

FALCATA Production Division in Huntsville, AL is hiring a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production of high‑reliability electronics for radar and communications systems.

You’ll lead process improvements, implement new equipment, and mentor engineers on the shop floor in a fast-paced DoD environment. The role requires an ABET‑accredited engineering degree with extensive DoD manufacturing experience, IPC/J-STD knowledge, and the ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required with 8+ years of relevant experience; Master’s with 6+ years or PhD with 3+ years allowed.
• Military/DoD manufacturing experience, mechanical assemblies and/or circuit card assemblies and integration.
• Familiar with IPC, J-STD, MIL and DoD standards; AS9100 standards and certification processes.
• Experience developing and implementing new maintenance programs and creating training programs.
• US Citizenship due to OPSEC requirements and ability to obtain/maintain government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing assembly procedures.
• Introduce and train employees on new equipment.
• Lead and ensure safety, quality, cost, schedule, technical and programmatic requirements; conduct process audits and ensure IPC/AS9100 compliance.
• Provide shop floor support, develop manufacturing plans, tooling requirements, change implementation and coordination in an electrical/mechanical facility; mentor juniors.
• Translate engineering intent, drawings and configurations into work instructions for high-quality hardware.
• Apply DFM and DFA techniques on new and existing products to optimize design and manufacturing.
