Job summary

Technology Service Corporation Defense Services in Huntsville, AL seeks a Director of Engineering to lead multi-discipline teams across radar, sensors, and electronics programs through concept to production and sustainment.

The role requires DoD experience, AS9100/ISO9001 familiarity, and a track record of delivering complex product roadmaps. You will mentor engineers, coordinate with product owners, and drive process improvements within the division.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering and minimum 15 years of experience in DoD industry.
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• 5+ years management of multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Product deliveries and support to USG and partner organizations.
• Operate within AS9100 or ISO9001 business management structures.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and capability in engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Define, modify, and implement engineering development processes and best practices for the division.
• Lead a multi-disciplined team of systems, hardware, mechanical, software, and firmware engineers.
• Develop staffing plans to support the product business.
• Collaborate with product owners to assess feasibility, schedule, and cost for roadmaps.
• Provide resources to implement roadmap features.
• Support production during transition from technology to manufacturing.
• Provide technical oversight of engineering efforts.
• Foster career growth for engineering staff.
• De-conflict resources with leadership and engineering teams.
• Support continuous improvement of engineering processes.
