Job summary

FALCATA's Production Division in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to analyze and optimize production of high‑reliability electronics and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Requires ABET‑accredited engineering degree with 8+ years DoD manufacturing experience; IPC/J‑STD/MIL/DOD standards and AS9100 familiarity; US citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance; strong leadership and communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited school is required.
• 8+ years of relevant DoD manufacturing experience (masters 6+ years, PhD 3+).
• Familiar with IPC, J-STD, MIL and DoD standards, AS9100 processes.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing assembly procedures.
• Lead safety, quality, cost, schedule, and performance expectations; conduct process audits.
• Provide shop floor support, develop manufacturing plans, and coordinate changes.
• Translate engineering intent into work instructions for high‑quality hardware.
• Apply DFM and DFA techniques to optimize designs and manufacturing solutions.
