Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems Manufacturing in Colorado Springs is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the CMF team, supporting two major DoD programs as a senior engineer responsible for manufacturing activities.

Day‑to‑day duties include defining processes, generating mBOMs and routings in Solumina, overseeing ISO9001/AS9100, and coordinating with engineering, QA, and operations. Weekend shift: Fri–Sun, 6am–6pm; U.S. citizen with Secret Clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Industrial and Systems Engineering with minimum 6 years of applicable experience.
• Experience with CNC Mill and Lathe machining.
• Experience with MRP and ERP/PLM/MES systems.
• Proficient understanding of GD&T.
• Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 processes.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to maintain Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Implement procedures to transform raw materials into finished products efficiently.
• Use Solumina MES to implement, track, monitor, and control manufacturing processes.
• Generate and maintain Manufacturing Bill of Materials (mBOMS).
• Generate routings inside Solumina for accurate run times.
• Identify and execute continuous improvement projects.
• Coordinate production workflow and resources to meet goals.
• Manage ISO9001/AS9100 processes within the department.
