Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Largo, FL is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support depot and production programs at the Largo Consolidated Manufacturing Center. The Senior ME will develop manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and provide production support from concept through sustaining activities.

The role interfaces with design, process/production engineering, and program management across RTX facilities; 5+ years of relevant experience and the ability to obtain a US security

Qualifications

• Typically requires STEM degree or equivalent with minimum 5 years of related experience, or 9 years of experience in absence of a degree.
• 5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Experience with military/industry standards and dispositioning nonconforming material with root-ccause analysis.
• Ability to obtain/maintain US security clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to employees within the job area.
• Conduct technical vs. manufacturing data verifications, hardware inspections, and safety/ergonomic assessments.
• Develop work cell layouts and document manufacturing tooling and fixtures.
• Plan, develop, manage, and document tooling and fixtures for production.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques and improve procedures.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams on policies, procedures, and practices.
