Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX business unit, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support Largo, FL programs, developing manufacturing docs and leading factory improvements. The role requires hands-on production support, cross-functional collaboration, and strong problem solving in a depot and production setting.

Candidates should have a STEM degree, 2+ years in manufacturing engineering, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 2 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
• Experience with military standards and related specifications.
• Experience with disposition of nonconforming material using root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures and instructions to meet site targets.
• Conduct technical and manufacturing data verifications, hardware verifications, and safety assessments.
• Develop work cell layouts to optimize product flow and space utilization.
• Plan for, develop, manage, and document tooling and fixtures.
• Employ Lean manufacturing techniques, procedures, and instructions.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on policies and practices.
• Support projects from initial factory introduction through sustaining activities.
