Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Largo, FL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the technical performance of depot and production programs at the Largo Consolidated Manufacturing Center. The ME will develop and manage manufacturing documentation, processes and work instructions using the digital tools used at the CMC.

The role reports to the Largo Manufacturing Engineering Manager and interfaces with design, process and other RTX facilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM and 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
• Experience with military/industry standards and disposition of nonconforming material using root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures with supervision to meet program/site targets.
• Conduct technical and manufacturing data verifications and safety assessments.
• Develop work cell layouts to optimize product flow and space utilization.
• Plan and document manufacturing tooling and fixtures.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on policies and practices.
• Possess knowledge of work area via education and experience; may have project management.
