Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work onsite in Largo, FL. The ME will support the technical performance of depot and production programs at the Largo Consolidated Manufacturing Center (CMC), developing and managing manufacturing documentation and work instructions using digital tools used at the CMC.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
• 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Experience with related military and industry standards and specifications.
• Experience with disposition nonconforming material utilizing root cause and corrective action analysis.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures and instructions while working closely with program / functional supervision to ensure overall program and site targets are met.
• Conduct technical and manufacturing data verifications, hardware verification, and safety/ergonomic assessments and implementations.
• Assist in the develop of work cell layouts to optimize product flow and factory floor space utilization.
• Plan for, develop, manage, and document manufacturing tooling and fixtures.
• Employ Lean Manufacturing techniques. Procedures, and instructions.
• Collaborates with parties within and outside of the job function regarding policies, Procedures, and practices.
• Requires knowledge of work area typically obtained through education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management.
