Zusammenfassung

Karman Space & Defense is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Cedar City, UT, to shape producibility and readiness across the product lifecycle. You will lead DFMA, guide processes, and mentor engineers to ensure efficient, repeatable manufacturing in a defense-focused environment.

You'll drive design for manufacturability, qualification, and ERP integration, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet demanding performance and quality requirements.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in fabrication and assembly environments.
• Ability to read and generate blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams.
• Familiarity with material properties, in-process verification, and validation methods.
• Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Current DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one.

• Leads DFMA activities and drives producibility during product development.
• Establishes robust, repeatable manufacturing processes.
• Mentors junior manufacturing engineers and provides SME in DFMA and SPC.
• Oversees material and resource planning to support production schedules.
• Plans workflows, resources, and capacity to match demand forecasts.
• Resolves complex technical challenges affecting design, development, and production continuity.
• Oversees process qualification activities and supports product qualification.
• Performs duties consistent with Manufacturing Engineer I–III as needed.
