Job summary

Karman Space & Defense, located in Mukilteo, WA, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to enhance producibility and process robustness throughout the product lifecycle. This role involves collaboration with product design teams, leading process development, and mentoring junior engineers.

You will be instrumental in implementing internal processes, ensuring product quality, and enhancing workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on engineering experience.
• Ability to read and generate blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams.
• Familiarity with basic material properties, in-process verification, and validation.
• A current U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Leads design-for-manufacturability activities within product design teams.
• Mentors junior manufacturing engineers and provides subject matter expertise.
• Oversees material and resource planning to support schedule adherence.
• Plans manufacturing workflows, production line capacity, and resource utilization.
• Solves complex technical problems to maintain momentum in product design.
• Supports implementation and validation of internal processes.
