Qualifications

• Awarded Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
• 10+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience in a defense industry production environment
• 10+ years of hands-on experience with manufacturing and building hardware from engineering design products
• Ability to analyze electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams
• Microsoft Office suite experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Expert problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience coaching and providing technical guidance to early career engineers
• Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) concepts
• Implements manufacturing processes for training systems and test equipment
• Apply knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques and implement process improvements
• Multitask in support of multiple concurrent programs and initiatives
• Advance experience with Project/Product cost estimation

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies and equipment
• Drive adoption of automation, robotics and CAM software to improve efficiency and quality
• Create and analyze 3D model data to optimize manufacturing
• Define operations procedures and build sequences for manufacturing excellence
• Evaluate equipment performance and implement corrective actions
• Use factory data to develop statistical process control and analytics
• Provide input to product design regarding manufacturing feasibility and tooling
